It has been said that you are what you eat. That said people who eat well tend to have a positive attitude where they live, where they work and when they play. The foods we eat can determine our moods & happiness. A family which eats well is the birth of a happy society in other words a happy home is a happy society.Food has always played an important part in our lives since the begin of time. Eat well and awaken the hero in you. Eat well and optimise your work, play & in general yo daily accomplishments. It has been said that there is nothing more important than this day. So its advisable to eat well and make the most of the day, a day well began is half done. Hence the idea that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. However all meals are important if you don’t have time to eat breakfast well make sure you eat well sometime during the day before 8pm.
The right foods to eat in the morning are people’s personal choices but the idea of indulging in sugary staff for breakfast is consistent and quite wrong. Nothing wrong with that long as long as the breakfast includes natural fats and protein. If you ain’t got that in the kitchen it will be best to skip breakfast altogether. Yoghurt is a good source of fats and keeps our guts healthy responsible for the production of serotonin. A healthy gut boost our happiness. The eggs and sausages are a good source of protein. All too often when i go to my local shop these days the full fat yoghurt will be out of stock. Which shows that people are choosing the right foods and leaving the fat free yoghurts good for nothing. If you take out good fat in yoghurts you there will be nothing left save for fructose which is a fancy word for bad sugar. Sugar is the one which makes people fat, there is misconception that fat translates into fat hence many think that eating fat will make them fat.
I travel a lot around the globe and i prefer to stay in hotels with breakfast included. Many hotels offer the right fats and protein if I eat that I know that I will be well throughout the day however more often than not i buy myself a good lunch including a fruit if i didn’t have any in the morning. When I go back to the hotel i always make sure i have a substantial and nutritional meal. When I go back home after my holidays i will be looking far much better and feeling good about myself. At home I live alone and as a disabled person cooking is hard work. As a result I don’t get to eat well as I should at home.
Living it up boost your happiness and reduce your anxiety.
Anxiety: Through out my life I have lived with anxiety which is one of the reasons why I’m still single exacerbated by disability. In general many people live with anxiety even the Heavy Weight Boxing Champion of the world Tyson Fury, The Gypsy King suffers from it coupled with depression but it’s how you deal with it otherwise it can stifle one’s development. Recently I have been struggling to walk in doors particularly walking in my wet room, Im afraid of placing my crutches on a slippery surface lest I fall, but I never used to have that problem. I also know a business woman who suffers from anxiety, despite managing her own business she she doesn’t like making life changing decisions. As a teenager I had sexual performance anxiety the fear of failing to please a woman, fear of breaking up a relationship. Ever since my adolescence years I always believed in dating one girl and ultimately marrying that one person till the end of time. After I Sustained my brain injury it was unfathomable that one day i would find love. I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 2006 when i was still in a bad state while everything seemed to be heading the right direction but I continued to suffer immensely from performance anxiety. To my great relief the church strongly advocates abstinence from sex before marriage so I was officially celibate. At that time the church was bustling with beautiful young girls, most of them were university students perfect for me to try and get hitched to like minded young girls unfortunately most of them already had devout boyfriends except for one.I decided to make a calculated but predictable move like every other boy. I asked her for her number and she happily supplied it. Here and there I would send her the occasional text innocent and a sincere messages. One Sunday morning I made up my mind, it all started with some affirmations in the morning before my ride came to pick me up to church. I repeatedly said to myself, today is the day I will ask out … (her name) ,I said it vocally but so quietly. At church I was so relieved after I finally sent her the message. I simply said would you like to go out on a date with me? She never answered to that question however we continued to exchange other messages. Since she’s was at university doing a more technical degree I assumed that she was too busy for dating. Despite making a fair justification for why she ignored my question it battered my confidence & exacerbated my anxiety about ladies.
Happiness starts with eating well, ‘you are what you eat’, that’s a true and simple fact right. People who eat well look well they are healthier and sexier. Eating the right food can also be an antidote to various health issues in our lives. Our ancestors were dieticians, in particular the traditional healers, they had invaluable knowledge of the right foods to eat to address most ailments before the modern day health practitioners were established.
It wasn’t until 2012 when I unwittingly started to eat the right foods I gradually became smarter and my anxiety of interacting with girls suddenly disappeared. Unfortunately I was no longer at university with a variety of girls from diverse backgrounds and from all over the world. However I was still living the church principles, no sex before marriage. I now had my confidence back and I started to view the church principles as restrictive dogma because of my newly found mojo & confidence. Nevertheless I remained strong but I was no longer going to the right places were I could meet girls. Never disregard what you know right lest you have spiritual detrimental effects. I rarely saw girls save for Sunday’s when I go to church but all the girls had boyfriends. The regional dances at church were the only hope unfortunately as a disabled person I couldn’t dance I was more like an outsider and if you ain’t dancing you ain’t getting any girls, that’s what it felt like.Anyhow I will talk about this at length in my new book.
Foods that help with anxiety
Salmon, Yoghurt, Green Tea, Dark Chocolate, Chamoline, Tumeric , Brazil nuts, Eggs, Pumpkin Seeds may help to reduce anxiety. Out of the aforementioned, personally I regularly eat Salmon, eggs, yoghurt and Turmeric.
Salmon contains nutrients that promote brain health including omega-3 fatty acids and vitamin D. Omega-3 fatty acids in Salmon are comprised of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA). Alpha-linolnic acid (ALA) is found in plant oils. Nutrition terms sound highly technical and complicated they are only important to remember if you are a Dietician or alike. It is recommended to have Salmon 3 times a week.
EPA and DHA may help regulate the neurotransmitters dopamine and serotonin, which can have calming and relaxing properties. Eating enough EPA and DHA may also promote your brain’s ability to adapt to changes, people with anxiety are known to dislike life changing events like childbirth or moving house. In summary Salmon contains two of the omega-3 fatty acids as well as vitamin D which may help anxiety relief by promoting brain health. Tillisc etal found out that individuals with anxiety who consumed probiotic yogurt daily were better able to cope with stress than those who consumed yogurt without probiotics
